Within the limousine on their way to the Geese Tower, ChunLi is still busy tying the bow tie around Ryu's neck.  

"Stop squirming!" she hissed  
"Can't. This thing itches." Ryu answered and continued complaining away that why can't he be allowed to wear a man's kimono with a pair hakama instead.  
"Because…." ChunLi started, she stops and stares at Ryu's attire, then to the bow-tie and started thinking to herself. A few thoughts came to mind, then she scolds herself for what she was doing.  

"Bah!" She tosses the bow tie away and pulls the coat off Ryu.  
"There! This looks better at least." Straightening the vest and making sure that the collar of the shirt was not too tight.  

"Thank you. Thought you would make me look like a penguin the whole night." Ryu ran his finger with his white shirt collar, feeling relieved that he needn't wear the entire tuxedo. He gets out of the limousine and waited for ChunLi.  
"You won't do a penguin justice in that suit. And don't you dare rip the sleeves off!" Came the remark.  
   

ChunLi checked her matching white cheogsam and the tiny sprigs of flower in her hair one more time. With a delicately craved and specially made fan in hand she joins the waiting Ryu and walk into Geese Tower amid the flashing bulbs from the eagerly waiting reporters.  
   

Within moments of riding the express elevator they reached the rooftop garden that doubles as Geese's training ground. Billy Kane and two other of Geese's guards welcome the couple in.  

On this New Year's eve, many fighters from both sides were invited by Geese to watch the fireworks that welcome the New Year from his rooftop. Most have arrived and catching up with gossip with old friends while some were picking fights with old enemies. All wearing their best party attire.  
   

"Well well my boy! Thought you two were going to take your kids out wandering the world this time of the year." A familiar voice caught them by surprise. The man in the tengu mask grabbed the couple firmly by the shoulder.  

"Takuma sama…. We…were in the neighborhood so…" ChunLi started. Yuri had warned her that something like might happen. The consequences of running into the respectable but now slightly drunk master.  

"Well well. Ryu. You sure have improved much since we last met. My boy, in twenty years time you'll be like me. Hahahaha!!" Takuma removes his mask and laughs.  
   

The couple felt trapped by the fact that he outranks them in some sense that it would be rude of them to just run away or beat him up for that matter.  
"Daddy!!!!" An energetic voice brought relief to couple.  

"Yuri!" ChunLi greeted an old friend. The young Kyokugenryu warrior is all dressed up in an energetic light yellow party dress.  
"A minute guys."  
"Dad. Uncle Saisyu is looking for you. There see him there?" Yuri pointed towards the quieter corner of the party and roughly pushes Takuma in that direction  
   

As the couple regains their composure, they made a mental note of not raising their daughter to be like Yuri. They gulp down the uneasiness as a slight inkling came to them in terms of the environment and the kind of people who their children are likely to be interacting with.  

For the first time, the couple wonder should they move to an even more isolated place to live in. Glancing at each other, a few options came to mind: A cave, an island, in some valley of rocky cliffs or an amalgam of these options. With that more options came to mind.  
   

"ANDDDDIIIIIIEEE!!!!!!!???" A high pitch voice broke the couple's train of thoughts. The lady in the little fire-engine red dress grins apologetically as the other guests stared at her.  
   

"Thanks." ChunLi broke the silence that between the three of them.  
"No problem. Sorry about Daddy though… I think he's going somewhat senile after that job stint with Geese." Yuri smiled, she was watching the somewhat tipsy Takuma make his way over to Saisyu and had miss the silence.  

"Oh and one more thing about what Daddy said. I don't want to see Mr Shotoken running around with Ms Wushu in my lifetime. One Mr Karate is bad enough, but if Tengu Mask Trio shows up in Southtown….." Yuri grins as she left it hanging.  
"Well. I'm sure you guys would do fine! Oo! Gotta go meet a couple of pals." And Yuri rushed off to join Kyo and gang.  
   
   

"Is it just me or is the end of the year that's getting to everybody?" ChunLi asked the equally puzzled Ryu.  
"I'm sure we'll do fine."  
"I'll catch up with you later Ryu." ChunLi said after giving Ryu a peck on his lips.  
"You'll know where to find me right." He smiled back at his wife.  
"Yeah, the food table that still has some food left." ChunLi patted Ryu's stomach. She giggled as she watches her husband snake his way to the one of tables.  
   

"Punch? Ice tea or cola? Although I would not recommend the punch." A young voice asked.  
"Iwa?" ChunLi was surprised to see her disciple here.  
"What are you doing here?" she picks up a small sandwich instead  

"Part-timing. The only way that I can get into this party. The safest place at this point in time is the bar counter." Iwa turned her head slightly to indicate the direction before going back to work. Somehow Iwa's words made ChunLi worried, her disciple's uninvited appearance always almost nearly mean one thing. And that one thing worries her as she remembers what exactly it is.  
   

ChunLi noted that another group made a grand entrance, a group of seven people all dressed up in the same fashion akin to Geonitz. Instead of picking a fight, the group separated with Vice and Mature gravitating to Iori. Geonitz looking around the area for Chizuru, Yamazaki heading for punchbowl and pouring in some reddish liquid that started to sizzle the moment it hits the punch. While Shermie, Yashiro and Chris take over as the guest band after Athena finished singing.  
   

"So. What would you like?" The bartender asked when ChunLi hop up the barstool.  
"King? What are you doing there? I thought you're a guest as well."  
"Stood in for the bartender when he had to go the restroom….. Played me out and left me standing in." King shrugs as she mixes another drink, her slinky red dress not getting in the way at all.  

Sipping her wine ChunLi looked around the premise and spotted Ryu talking away with Ken, Kim and Guile. Beside them is a redheaded woman named Vanessa trying to shake off a blond hair guy with an eye-patch(Ramon).  
   

"ANDDDDIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!??!!" By now there is hint of frustration in her voice.  
   

"Hey CL!" a voice called out. ChunLi turns around as was greeted with a firm hug from Terry. For once the 'hungry wolf' had gotten out of his causal attire, but like Ryu, Terry wore a vest with his tuxedo instead of a coat. Still he kept to his image by wearing his trademark colors and completing the look with his ever-present baseball cap.  

"Where is Andy anyway?" ChunLi suddenly asked  
"Hiding." A voice came from underneath the bar counter. Without batting an eyelid King handed the bar counter refugee another drink.  

"And this is." ChunLi asked on seeing the lady that accompanied Terry.  
"Blue Mary, ChunLi. ChunLi Blue Mary." Terry did a quick introduction of his blond companion who is wearing a little black dress. After a bit of small talk, Terry excused himself and headed for the bowl of punch before he starts on the food.  
   

"ANDDDDDIIIEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!?!"  
Tonight is fast becoming one slow and long night as ChunLi watches an extremely angry Mai searching high and low. Taking a moment, Mai stop by the punch bowl to quench her thirst.  
   

Elsewhere on the roofttop, Vice and Mature kept plying glass after glass of punch on Iori. Sitting on the ledge watching the party in action is the expressionless Leona staring blankly at her glass of punch, her face a little pale.

Meanwhile Ryu had finished an entire table worth of sushi and a glass of punch only cause him to be hungry for more. Then it hit him hard in the nose, the aroma that beckons him. It was beautiful, it was calling out for him, the beautiful roasted chicken that lying there on the next table has his name all over it.  

Ryu caught a feeling, although it felt more like a challenge. The amount of electricity in the air was so intense that Blanka slunk away from that particular table dragging the protesting pink-clad Dan away.  

"MINE!!!!!!!!" Came the war cry of three men as they all claim coup on that single chicken  
"I saw it first!" Terry growled into Ryu's face.  
"I smelt it first!" Ryu roared that chicken belongs to him and him along. Nobody else can take away from him.  
"This can last me a week!!!!!!" Ryo hissed as he tugs as at chicken.

"KYYYYOOOOOO!!!!!!!" Iori yells as his glass of punch slips from his hand. Foaming at the mouth he searches the premise for eternal enemy.  
"MEAAATTTTTT!!!!!!" Leona screams, distracting Iori from the thought of Kyo with another more important matter: Meat.  

"It works!!!" Mature smiled  
"Makes me hungry for some meat….." Vice added  
"Let it go. Our job is done. Let's report back to the Geonitz."  
"No need to. He saysssss to go back ourselves sssince he had left a while back." Yamazaki hissed, offering the ladies a plate sandwiches.  
"With that Kagura priestess I bet. So what did the master say?"  
"To watch." Yamazaki grab a couple of chairs and headed where Chris was waiting.

Two more challengers came to claim coup on his roast chicken, how dare they claim what is his. This chicken is his and his alone, he will not share this with anyone… well maybe with ChunLi. The rage that is fuel by his hunger builds within him.  

"10" the countdown had begun as the people of Southtown prepares to usher in the New Year  

"Ryu." ChunLi calls out distracting him. He stares at the meat and then back ChunLi, noticing Iori growling and glaring at ChunLi, Ryu snaps at Iori, thowing him a growled warning which translates as - Touch her and you'll die faster then you could scream 'Die Kusanagi'.  
   

"9"  
"Stand down all of you!!"  Geese's voice boom. The five turn their attention him but he got more than what he bargain for when Ryu roared at him. He has that 'Touch ChunLi and you'll die' look on his face.  

By now he had forgotten all about the chicken, leaving it for the others to compete over. There are more important matters to attend to. Ryu roared once more and warps towards Geese. ChunLi realize that just because Geese was standing beside her, Ryu had thought that he intends to use her as a hostage.  

"8"  
"Ryu!!!! NO!!!!!" A warning that came too late.  
"7"  
"RISING STORM!!!!!!!!!" The only way he could protect himself from the Shun Goku Satsu  

"6"  
"Raaghhhhhhh!!!!!" Ryu yells when the qi of the rising storm smashes him across the premise.  
"Ryyu!!!" ChunLi yells and rushes to his side.  

"5"  
"Geesesssss." Terry hissed. Seeing that man hurt one of his friends, causes the rage that was fueled the Oruchi blood spiked punch increase. Leaving the chicken for Iori and Ryo to fight over. Ignoring the fact that Leona was chewing away at his head, he pulled Leona down and tosses her back to the fueding over the chicken.  
"4"  
   

"ANNNDIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! BAKA!!!!!!!!!! " that high pitch voice borders on insanity.  
"3"  
""Haaa…..CHO HISATSU SHINOBI BACHI!!!!!!!"  

"2"  
The sight of an injured Andy causes Terry to be overwhelmed his anger which caused all non-related faults to be blamed on Geese. What more Geese laughing away was just making things worse.  
"ARE YOU OKAY?! BUSTER WOLF!!!!!!!" Terry roars as he leaps towards Geese  

"1" His fist rams right into Geese causing an explosion of qi that sent Geese crashing through the safety barriers of the roof. In the night sky that screams of fireworks whizzing into the sky, Geese fell like a deflated balloon.  
   

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!" Came the shouts from people partying at ground level. Cheers, screams of joy and popping of party favors was punctuated with by loud crash.  

Curious onlookers gather by the edge of the roof. Geese's fall had caused a large crater in the ground and the roadside revelers gather around the crater and started pointing at the unmoving Geese and the building from which he fell. The people move back as Geese raise his hand to the sky as if to grab the exploding stars of the fireworks.  
   

Geese laughs once more at the fact that such a _minor_ fall has no effect upon him, throwing his head back he laughs harder then ever. He missed the fact that the crowd was screaming as they hurriedly move even further away from him. His missed the fact that there was a table falling from his building.  

The table crashed upon his head and was followed soon after by a heavy punch bowl. This time he was really seeing stars as he stagger about, within moments he fell. The last thing he heard was a loud 'OKAY!" yelled from his rooftop and a red baseball cap falling onto his face. Screams came from the onlookers as they rush forward, all fighting for the cap as they trampled Geese.

Some time later  
King's Tavern, another part of SouthTown  

Ryu woke with a mighty painful hangover, even though he knew he didn't drink anything alcoholic. A hand gently pushes him down to rest. He could here muffle cheering and partying going on outside.  
"Where am I?" Ryu asked  
"We're at King's. You're getting heavier to lug around." ChunLi place a piece of wet cloth on Ryu's forehead.  

"I thought we were on the rooftop?"  
"We would be, had a fight and a riot of the blood not broke out." ChunLi used the remote to switch on the television.  

On screen, it was shown that Geese was taken by his people to his private villa for recuperation, it was said that the fall and stampede had taken some toll on him. Within moments the people from SouthTown Special Damages Repairs Department that is Co-own by Kusanagi-Howard Corporations came to repair the damage road.  

The screen change again to show shots from roof. The firemen were trying to put out flames but efforts were slow because some lunatic was fanning the flames with his purple flames while screaming away at Kyo who at this point is partying with the others outside the room where the couple are.  

"Sorry about ruining tonight for you."  
"No biggy. Seems like we always end up celebrating in this pub every year."  
"Happy New Year Aisai." Ryu grinned. ChunLi smiled back at him, cupping her hands on his face she pulls him forward to give him the New Year Kiss that she had readied for him.  

What seem like an eternal minute between them pass before their lingering lips were willing to part. Pulling Ryu up, ChunLi led him outside to join the others who despite some minor injuries still manage to feel well enough to dance the night away.  
   

While in an alley somewhere else, The blue hair Leona chews on her prized roast chicken, ignoring the shouts of Heidern, Ralf, Clark and Whip who were all still looking around for her.

Note - this one has its roots in some of the mangas I've read.  
-Leona who is often pictured as a pet something, chewing away at someone's head.  
-Always enjoy the idea of Ryu, Terry and Ryo fighting over food. These three guys were almost the same as up to some point, they are pictured as the guys who are usually broke and hungry. Constanly rumaging through garbage bins.  
-In Ryo's case it is more of an influence from his days of being poor.  
-Mai who has a nasty temper and always taking it out on Andy  

Okay and for those for thought this piece was originally found the One Shots. I have to say that it has moved out because its not even a One Shot in the first place but more of a Millennium shot. Which is why it had to move.
