"You sure that you are okay?" Ryu looked back and asked  
"Yes I'm fine. Don't worry about me." ChunLi said, pushing Ryu across the the backyard.  
"I mean that after what happen a few days ago you seem a little confuse. Tell me if anything is troubling you."  
"Seriously. After my encounter with the darkside, my senses seem more alive."  

"Ah, that is part of the process."  
"Okay see. Nothing much to worry about right? Or do you still have something you wanna say before you go off?  
   

"Li, just be careful, these few weeks after the encounter may be the most dangerous time for you. Mental(Mindlink) me if you feel uneasy about anything okay.”  
“Umm. Now go off to your waterfall for your training. Okay I love you, bye bye.” Giving Ryu a quick peck on his lips before shoving him out the gate.  

Ryu turned around watching her leaning on the gate. ChunLi smiled and waved him on. He shrugged and jogged towards the waterfall.  
   

ChunLi headed towards the tree with the ropes tied around its trunks. She sat down on the swing that was tied to one of the strong branches. Pushing the ground to give the swing momentum. She sigh a breath of relief. In the attempt to get the uneasiness out of her. ChunLi stop the swing and proceed on to the practice her skills upon the tree.  
   

<<  ….Alone at last…..  >> a cold female voice said, it startled ChunLi a little, the wind ruffled the stray strands of her braided hair. Sending a shiver down her spine.  
“Who are you?!” ChunLi asked looking around her for the owner of the voice.  
<<  …..Weak…… >>  
“Who are you?!” she called out again  

<<  …..Should have kill the old guy…..  >>  
“Where are you?! Come out hiding?!”  
<<  …..Not hiding…….  >>  
“Just who or what are you?”  
<<  …Me?…..you ..Does it matters?…..   >>  
All this does not make any sense at all to ChunLi  

<<  …Accept….who and what you are…… Soul Sister…..  >>  
“I know who and what I am.” The word ‘Soul Sister’ sent a shiver down her spine, she realized who she was talking to and it was that made her uneasy this few weeks.  
<<  …….Lies… Lineage…  >>  
“What do you want from me?”  
<<  …Pure Power… you……AHHAHAHAHAHA!!!   >>  

“AAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!” ChunLi screamed as the insane laughter invaded her head.  
   
   

Pain was all she had felt, she couldn’t see, hear or feel where she is at all. She can’t even think straight at all. All she wants is to be rid of this pain. Then as quickly as it had visited her, the pain was gone, Images appeared. Events of her life flashed before her with no order at all, chaos of images. People and faces who affected her life.  

Her life with Ryu, as well as the times they spent during her term as an exchange student to Gouken’s dojo and beyond that which extend into part of her childhood. The encounter with Gouki that had cause all this. Her life spent shuttling to and from Shadowlaw and Hong Kong. Project Infiltration, Interpol and her Mission.  

The stony Kage-bushi(Shadow Warrior) who acts as her guardian at times. The death of her mother….How did she die anyway? Her training in Wushu. Her childhood years spent under Vega’s(M Bison) supervision. Beyond that three years of her life seems to be missing and unaccounted for.  

ChunLi felt as if she was slammed against a hard door. Opening her eyes she saw that it was a door in front of her. Familiar energy seem to be flowing around it, the familiar qi of Psycho Power, what flows within her had begin enhanced by the Satsui no Hadou.  
   

Her time spent with the Kage-bushi had taught her something about power. Psycho Power will always attract a stronger another power to enhanced and evolves to a stronger level. Satsui no Hadou is tool like that it enhance or corrupt according to how it was used. Soul Power allows one to see the future. Riot of the Blood strengthens but insanity is part of a price to pay. All in all the Kage-bushi always say:  

”Power corrupts. One must learn to master it or be enslave by it.”  
   

Turning around she saw her tormentor. Wild jet black long hair, a single braid over her shoulder. Black cheogsam with blood seams and designs. A bluish energy encasing her right hand.  

<<  ….Welcome to my world. Soul Sister….  >> she said with a cold twisted smile upon her face.  
“You’re me?”  
<<  ….Naturally…….  >>  
“Where am I”  

<<  ….In a part of your head…  >>  
<<  ….Some call it limbo of good and evil….  >>  
“Why bring me here?”  
<<  …..Open it!  >> She pointed at the door.  
   

“Why? Why can’t you open it instead.”  
Psycho ChunLi grabbed ChunLi by the neck, squeezing a little harder before slamming her against the door.  

<<  …Would if I could…  >> Slapping ChunLi with her free hand.  
“..What so important in there?” ChunLi asked.  
<<  …..Pure Power or destruction of both aspects...   >>  
“Why risk it then?”  
<<  …You want knowledge of those three years …..  >>  
“Some secrets were kept for a reason. Best to let them just be.”  
<<  …Weak…  >>  Psycho ChunLi slapped her again.  
   
   

Back at the waterfall  

Ryu interrupted his mediation. He felt that something was wrong. But before he could say anything.  

<<  Yeah, yeah, yeah.. I know, Chun-Chun’s at it. Come on then. We have to stop her or we might lose both aspects of her…  >>  Satsui no hadou Ryu butt in.  
<<  You know then.  >> Ryu said as he begun to run back.  
<<  As if I don’t. I suspected that my Chun-Chun is a bit of rebel…..  >>  
   
   

Returning to SummerLodge, Ryu found ChunLi writhing in pain, someone seems to have beaten her up. Ryu carried ChunLi indoors.  

<<  We have to go into her mind.  >>  
<<  How? >>  
<<  Sit down. I’ll teach you…Good thing I pick up a trick or two from that old coot and Sensei Gouken.  >>  
   
   

Following his darkside’s instructions. Ryu sat in front of ChunLi, placing the tips of his index finger and middle finger of both hands on the either of her temple. He started mumbling something under his breath. It didn’t take them long to establish a link to enter ChunLi’s mind mentally.  

<<  Welcome to our Chun-Chun’s mind. Soul Brother. Would you like to take a guided tour.  >>  
“We don’t have time.”  
<<  Awww. You’re no fun at all. Come on. Just follow the concentration of power.  >>  
   

They found ChunLi in no time at all. ChunLi was holding off her dark side pretty well.  
“ENOUGH!!!” Ryu called out to break the fight. Satsui no hadou Ryu walked over to the two ChunLi.  

<<  Go back to him while she’s distracted.  >>  Satsui no haodu Ryu walked between them as ChunLi moved quickly towards Ryu.  
<< …..You got off lucky this time…….  >> Psycho ChunLi mumbled when she turned her attention back to her alter ego  
   

<<  Stubborn Witch. What the hell do you think you’re doing beating up yourself like that? Didn’t I tell you not to try number three? The stronger her will is the easier for both of you to get in to a fight. The likelihood of both of you killing each other increases.  >>  

<<  …..Why would you care?…  >> she looked at him with a defiant glare  
<<  Have you no patience? It’s not like he ain’t gonna teach her how to let you come and go at will? The more you force the less likely she’s gonna learn and let’s see how you gonna deal with that then?  >>  
   

<<  …….Worried about losing me?……  >>  Her question was direct  
<<  No. Don’t want my efforts of bringing you out to come to waste. Of course I’m worried, Chun-Chun!  >> Seeing the door he turned his attention back to Psycho ChunLi.  
<<  You dragged her all the way here for that? …..sigh….Leave it be. Chun-Chun. She can’t open it, better that way since the truth of whatever’s in there is more likely is more likely to destroy the both you then help you.  >>  

<<  ……And how would you know that if it would? ……  >>  
<<  Your Kage-bushi found me told me that you can’t handle the truth of what’s inside. The contents would kill both of you, leaving us with an empty shell. She didn’t say what’s inside.   >>  
Psycho ChunLi mumbled something that sounded like acceptance.  

<<  You two go back first. I might need to talk to her about something. Don’t worry about me, Soul Brother I can return via the Mindlink.   >>  Satsui no hadou Ryu said as he led his Bride of darkness elsewhere.  
   
   
   

A while later ChunLi open her eyes to see Ryu in front of her. They are back inside their home. The feeling that had being bugging her the last few weeks was gone. She felt free and light. She knew that there would be a lot to learn in terms of controlling her dark side but she’s willing to learn.  

Automatically she embrace Ryu with a sigh of relief as if convinced that she made it out okay. Ryu had one arm around her waist and his right hand stroking her head. No words pass between them as his presence alone is comforting enough for her to know that whatever it would be he would always be by her side.
